Beware creeping theocracy that seems to have myopia toward the democratic dangers of plutocracy and oligarchy, or at least seems to equate money and power with Divine favor and the privilege of a weightier voice than that of the average human being in affairs of the State.
Follow the money that pads the pockets of preferred and popular pastors, just as of preferred and popular pundits and policymakers. And remember that pastors and would-be prophets can be uniquely qualified, in the eyes of society, to guide the minds – and votes – of millions. (But, notably, almost never guiding the faithful to assail the gates of the money=speech/corporations=people movement in the name of the essential equality of everyone’s voice in government and politics.)
